Ramadan 2020 Appeal

Helping local people with their food issues

Last year we helped over 200 families in Merseyside with food hampers.  Would you like to donate towards this or take part in the distribution? Please read on below.

The Prophet (pbuh) said,  ‘Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person’.

Join us to help tackle food poverty together this Ramadan

Food poverty does not make exception to those families who are fasting this Ramadan.  But as you would like to break your fast, why not join us to help those who would not have that luxury.

The UK is the seventh richest country in the world.  It is also a deeply unequal country.  When we think of the word ‘hunger’ we often think about starving children in developing countries.  But this type of hunger is very much the reality for some people living in the UK today.

The recession has squeezed household budgets, having an impact on the nutritional types of food people are buying.  It is also common practice that food banks will limit families to three visits a year.

You can help provide a family with a food hamper

This Ramadan, you can help LMOS provide the food hampers to those in need to ease their food worries. Together we can help local families by taking away their food worries.
